It is my pleasure to offer you this UNIQUE porcelain ANTIQUE DELFT CLOCK SET by Friedrich Christian Greiner & Sons (1860-1900) in Rauenstein Germany.

In 1738 Johann Georg Greiner obtained a concession from the Duke Georg of Saxony-Meiningen for a porcelain factory, together with his son and his cousin. They produced coffee and tea sets, cups and pipe bowls. In the mid of the 19th century production was extended to include table ware and decorative porcelain, figurines and dolls.

After 1900 the name of the company was changed into Porcelain Factory Rauenstein and existed until 1936.

This clockset is such an decorative and exceptional item. A centerpiece with a simple clock build in a windmill and 2 side vases shaped like sailboats. The sails really may contain a bunch flowers.

For a good description of the set I just ask you to see the many pictures.. I can't do better.

Rauenstein made numerous figurines but a clock set like this was only produced for the happy few... a very detailed mould, an appropriate decoration and an original shape was the base of success of this factory for years.

The items are marked with the mould# 7477 and "O.A." and "O.B."

AGE: 1915-1930

DIMENSIONS: LxWxH of the centerpiece is 9x3x13.75 inches, aech vase measures 6x3x13.25 inches.

CONDITION: EXCELLENT. This wonderful set has a few minor flaws which are indicated clearly in the pictures: 1. a small tension hairline, 2. a reglued end of a sail and 3. some tiny flakes at the bottom rim of one of the boats. But this does hardly influence the beauty, rareness and attractiveness of the set. This set is in nearly PERFECT condition. Further no cracks, chips, flakes or any other flaws. A real treasure for any TOP QUALITY Antique Porcelain Delft Collection.

The white spots on some pictures are the reflection of my photo lights.
