It is my pleasure to offer you this Pristine Delft Porcelain CRUET SET produced by Friedrich Christian Greiner & Sons in RAUENSTEIN Germany.
In 1738 Johann Georg Greiner obtained a concession from the Duke Georg of Saxony-Meiningen for a porcelain factory, together with his son and his cousin. They produced coffee and tea sets, cups and pipe bowls. In the mid of the 19th century production was extended to include table ware and decorative porcelain, figurines and dolls.
After 1900 the name of the company was changed into Porcelain Factory Rauenstein and existed until 1936.
(refs: "Marks on German, Bohemian and Austrian Porcelain, 1710-present" by Robert E. Röntgen, A Schiffer Book). "Catalog Porzellanfabriek Rauenstein A.-G. Rauenstein / Thüringen, Messe Leipzig: Hansahaus II, 28-31".
This handpainted art nouveau oil and vinegar set consists of 2 cruets and is marked at the bottom side with the imprinted mould# 695 and the factory logo R.P.F.
AGE: 1900-1910
DIMENSIONS: Height of each is 8,25 inches (=21 cm).
CONDITION: EXCELLENT. This set is in PERFECT condition. No cracks, chips, flakes or any other flaws. A tiny dent at one spout is very smooth and originates from the production process because it is underglazed (see picture). A real treasure for any TOP QUALITY Delft Collection.
