It is my pleasure to offer you this handpainted breakfast Delft set produced by OUD Delft Holland.
he OUD DELFT factory was founded by Roelof Elshout in 1920 and has its roots in the Rembrandt Pottery in Nijmegen. OUD Delft focused on decorative "modern" delft ware and it has a different look -in the ceramic, glaze and decoration- from most other delft ware. It was generally sold in decorator stores rather than in Dutch gift shops. Oud Delft combines aspects of both modern and antique delft ware by using an opaque white glaze without any lead or tin oxide on the modern bisquit.
In 1996 OUD Delft was taken over by "'t Delftsche Huys" and moved to Waddinxveen, close to Gouda.
Marked at the bottom with the OUD Factory logo (Potter's wheel), the mould# S11, productionmark CS and the painters initials R.
