 It is my pleasure to offer you this genuine diabolo vase produced by the Royal Plateelfabriek P.Z.H. Plazuid in GOUDA.

PZH was the first major ornamental pottery in Gouda and became the leading and by far biggest earthenware factory that produced the famous Gouda Plateel. After World War I many other factories in Gouda and surroundings who first produced pipes and tiles were infected by their succes and copied the brightly colored PZH glazings. PZH survived nearly all of them but had to close its doors in 1964 because of their expensive production methods where every single piece was handpainted.

This grey vase with blue decoration is one of the items produced in the last decade of its life. Marked at the bottom with the mould# 4845, patternname JAMAICA, KONINKLIJK GOUDA, the PZH factory mark, painters initial "S" and HOLLAND.

AGE:

DIMENSIONS: Height is 8½ inches, diameter at the bottom 4½ inches, at the top 5½ inches.

CONDITION: This vase is in GOOD condition. Unfortunately it has a tiny and hardly noticeable chip at the top rim as shown in the last picture. Further no cracks, chips, flakes or any other flaws.

The white spots on some pictures are the reflection of my photo lights.
