It is my pleasure to offer you this exceptional early Art Nouveau Serving Tray with 12 matching Coasters produced in Germany in the 19th century.
The tray consists of one huge transfer printed oval tile with an undulated metallic (plated copper ?) rim and handles. Decorated with various alpine meadow flowers: Gentian, Edelweiss and Alp-roses.
The coasters have various matching decorations with the same flowers in varying shapes.
Finding such a complete set is a once in a life time happening. Finding it in this perfect shape is an extra gift. Perfect... ? I must admit that one coaster has a hairline which doesn't show at all. So Yes, I consider this set a PERFECT ONE, a joy for the eye and a feast to use this on your next birthday party.
All coasters are marked with an imprinted number 4/7 and a stamp "32" and "7". The tray has no marks.
AGE: 1870-1890
DIMENSIONS: Lenth of the tray is 20½ inches and it is 14½ inches wide. Diameter of the coasters is 3½ inches.
